Self Publishing Amazon with KD Publishing Pro

What does the KD Publishing Pro program hold in store for You?
Being a revolutionary / first of a kind product – me ranting and raving about it’s value would help you as much as a hole in the head – thus the only way for me to provide you with any value is to walk you through it. The result is it borders on a training manual – Outrageous!  I know.

The KD Publishing Pro program opens with four tabs, My Book, Book Info, Submit and Sales Stats.

The MY BOOK Tab
This is where you create your books.  Click the CREATE button in the lower right hand corner to open the Book Content Screen.

Enter the Title, Author for your eBook, (you may use a Pen Name) and choose the Folder you want to Save your eBook into, then Tick the Add Copyright page and enter the Name of your Publishing Company, if you’ve registered one.

Click the Add Chapter button in the lower left hand corner to open the Chapter Editor screen.  You will find the screens are beautifully Uncluttered and User friendly.

The CHAPTER EDITOR screen brings you all the editing functionality you’re familiar with as an MS Word or Open Office Writer user.  Just paste your text into the body space beneath the header and go wild.

The Chapter Editor opens by default on the Home Tab, where you can:
Copy, Paste, change Font Types, Size and Color, Bold, Italize Underline and Double Underline, Strikethrough, Super and Sub Script, Create Bullets, Numbered Lists, Increase and Decrease Indents, Left, Right, Center and Justify, Find and Replace text.

On the File Tab you can:
Use Quick Print to send your document to the default printer, Click the Print Icon to change printers and set the number of copies to be printed.  Use the Undo and Redo buttons reverse or re-instate actions.

On the Insert Tab you can:
Insert Pages, Tables, Pictures, Bookmarks, Hyperlinks, Headers, Footers, Symbols and Initial Caps to Paragraphs.

On the Page Layout Tab you can
Change the margins, orientation and page size, Split Text into two or more Columns, Add Page Section and Column Breaks and Add Line Numbers in the margin alongside your text.

On the View Tab you can:
Use the Simple View to do easy text editing, omit Headers and Footers in Draft View, or use Layout View Print to see what your book will look like once it’s printed.

On the References Tab you can:
Modify your Table of Content.  The PD Publishing Pro program will automatically create the Table of Content for you – no more hassles trying to link to the proper pages.

On the Design Tab 1 you can:
Once you’ve open either the Header or Footer options on the Insert Tab click the first Design Tab to toggle between the Header and Footer areas, specify a unique Header and Footer for the First Page of your document, or specify odd-numbered pages to have a different Header and Footer than even numbered pages and finally close both the Header and Footer areas when your done.

On Design tab 2 you can:
Work with the Shading and Borders of Tables you have inserted via the Insert Tab.

Table Styles and Formatting
It is just much easier to show you than writing it all out. With your cursor in the cell or range of cells you want to work with, click the drop arrow and choose what you want.

On the Layout Tab you can:
As you can see from the image below, the Layout Tab is all about fast and easy working with Tables.   From the Selection Arrow icon through to the Alignment within Cells icons, this tab make working with Tables a pleasure.

Once you have completed formatting and adding all of the chapters to the program, click the OK Button at the bottom of the Chapter Editor screen, to return to the Book Content screen under the Create Book tab

The Marketing Tab

If you should publish your eBook, after toiling over it for hours if not days, without any additional marketing / affiliate links in it – you are leaving Dollars on the Table.

What is an Affiliate Link?
Being an affiliate is the online equivalent of being a representative / sales person for a brick and mortar company.  When you want to promote the product of an online merchant, you sign on as an affiliate for them and they provide you with a piece of script (known as your affiliate link) to identify and link the sales  generated by your marketing endeavors to you.  These online merchants may have hundreds of affiliates marketing / promoting any variety of their merchandise so it is imperative to be able to tie the sale (and therefore the receiver of the sales commission) to the appropriate affiliate.

Where can You Sign up!
Your best bet would be to sign up with Clickbank you can find then at http://www.clickbank,com, it is free to join and they do not require that you own a website, as most other merchants would, to promote their products.

Other merchants to consider is Amazon.com and Commission Junction.
